Richard Roseff, MD

Dr. Roseff was originally from New Jersey. After high school, he attended Amherst College, where he graduated Magna cum Laude with a degree in Neuroscience. Dr. Roseff received his MD from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine internship and residency in the BU system. Following senior residency, he was selected to spend an additional year as Chief Resident at the Boston VA Medical Center. His Rheumatology Fellowship was spent at Harvard (Massachusetts General Hospital), where he conducted prostaglandin research in the lab of Dr. Dwight D. Robinson. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Roseff joined a large multi-specialty practice in Connecticut. He then established his private, solo Rheumatology practice in Danbury and Ridgefield, where he remained for 25 years. Dr. Roseff’s interest in research led to his appointment in 2010 as Principal Investigator at the Connecticut Research Center in Danbury, where he has conducted clinical trials in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Lyme disease, and lupus. A strong proponent of patient rights, Dr. Roseff has led the Connecticut delegation for the past nine years to the annual American College of Rheumatology’s “Advocates for Arthritis” lobbying effort on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. He has also been a rheumatology consultant at the Southbury Training School for the past 30 years. Dr. Roseff enjoys a close association with the Arthritis Foundation and has vigorously supported its fundraising efforts to benefit patients with various forms of arthritis. In 2018 he was named the AF’s “Medical Honoree of the Year”.
